Diwali – Festival of Lights with University of Birmingham India Institute
Join the University of Birmingham India Institute and Sampad South Asian Arts & Heritage for a vibrant celebration of Diwali – Festival of Lights. Presented as part of Sampad’s Ujala 2025 Season.
Enjoy live Indian classical music, get creative with diya lamp painting workshops and experience traditional henna hand painting. Sampad artists include renowned sitar player Akash Parekar and talented multi-discplinary artist Jaya Khazaei. Bring light to the dark through this free afternoon programme, filled with culture, community and celebration.
The free event is on Monday 20th October, 12pm-2pm in the main Aston Webb building, first floor (above the main reception). To join, simply drop-in on the day, or complete this form to let us know you will be coming.
